A CCTV image of a woman police would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a purse from a Co-op store has been released.

The victim, a 63-year-old woman, accidently left her purse containing cash and bank card on a Post Office counter in Middle Road, Park Gate between 1pm and 1.10pm on November 14.

The next customer, a young woman with dark hair and wearing a blue jacket concealed the purse and left the store. Police say she made no attempt to locate the owner.

Investigating officer PC Lee Paddick said: ‘Please remember never leave your belongings unattended and always ensure your bag is zipped up.’
