Police assaults land man with a £150 bill

A MAN who assaulted three police officers and resisted a third has been told to pay £150 compensation.

Aaron Oakley, 31, of Fort Cumberland Road, Southsea, admitted the three assaults and resisting a PC on July 18 in his street.

Portsmouth magistrates imposed a community order with six-week tagged curfew.

Oakley must not leave his home between 9pm and 8am each day.

He must pay a £250 victim surcharge and £50 to each of the officers he assaulted.

The curfew ordered by the court ends on November 22.
