HAMPSHIRE Constabulary are no longer looking for a missing Southsea resident after a body was found.

Police had launched a missing person appeal for Matt Berry who went missing from his Victoria Road South home, on Wednesday.

But the appeal has been cancelled after police discovered a body in woods, near Hambledon.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary, said: ‘Police searching for missing Southsea man Matt Berry have found a body.

‘At 11:45pm on Friday night, police searching for Mr Berry found his car in a woodland location at Hambledon, and a body was located nearby.

‘There are no suspicious circumstances and next-of-kin have been informed.

‘A file is being prepared for the Coroner.’
