Police called to '˜man with trousers around his ankles' in Portsmouth

A MAN wandering in a street with his trousers round his ankles and blood on his head sparked a police response.

The man was in Dorking Crescent, Cosham, Portsmouth, just before 8am with blood on his head and hands.

Around four police vehicles responded to the incident fearing he had been assaulted. It was later classed as not a crime.

The News understands he had wandered away from QA Hospital and had fallen over.

Police initially had difficulty communicating with the man. An off-duty nurse spoke to him and an ambulance attended.
