HAMPSHIRE Constabulary has cancelled an appeal to find a man claiming to be a doctor, after confirming that he was indeed a genuine professional.

An appeal was launched after an incident in Portsmouth on October 3.

The police force has apologised for any concern caused while it established the truth behind the incident.
