A HUNDRED drivers have now been convicted following a police crackdown on drink driving.

Sussex police decided to get tough during December and the 100th driver has now faced the courts and been punished.

Chief Inspector Phil Nicholas, from Sussex roads policing unit, said: ‘The number of convictions there have been so far shows that there remains a hard core of people who still think it is acceptable to drink or take drugs and then drive. We need the people to help us by telling us if they see someone that they think is driving while over the limit.’
