Police forces still looking for missing Bedhampton and Southsea men
POLICE have renewed an appeal to find a Bedhampton man who has been missing for more than two weeks.
Jason Gates, 36, travelled to the Scottish Highlands for a walking holiday with his dog Max earlier this month.
Max, a brown and white spaniel, was found along with a number of items of Mr Gates’ clothing and his car in the Drumnadrochit area, sparking a major land and sea search.
The accountant was reported missing on March 17.
Police Scotland have now renewed their appeal to speak to anyone who may have seen him in the area.
In a statement the force said officers are keeping his family updated, and thanked the public for their support so far.
Mr Gates is 6ft 3in, slim, with short cropped greying hair and stubble.
It is not known what clothes he is wearing but he often wears black jeans, a T shirt, a black padded jacket and tweed jacket, and possibly walking boots. He may also be in possession of a rucksack.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
Hampshire Constabulary also confirmed they are still investigating the disappearance of engineer Nitin Woocheet, 26, who has not been seen since leaving the Fawcett Inn, Southsea, on St Patrick’s Day.
Call Hampshire police on 101 with information.
