POLICE in Sussex have donated £350 to fund new equipment for a bus for young people.

The cash has come from the Police Property Act Fund, which is made up of money received by the police from property confiscated from crooks through the courts and then sold.

The funding has been donated to the youth bus based at Graylingwell Park in Chichester.

Jane Haskins from Chichester Development Trust thanked police for their donation. She said: ‘This support is very much appreciated and the funds will be used to buy new equipment for the children to enjoy’.

Chichester district police community support officer Karen Turrell from Chichester District said: ‘The Youth Bus is a safe and fun environment for local youths and we are delighted to support such a worthy cause.’
