A MAN arrested over a serious assault on a 67-year-old man has been bailed.

Hampshire police arrested the 25-year-old on suspicion of wounding and possession of cannabis on Saturday.

Officers cordoned off parts of High Street, Cosham, Portsmouth, near The First Post.

Forensics officers were seen examining the area after the assault.

The 25-year-old man has been bailed until November 24.
