Police hunt '˜abusive and hostile' paraglider after two-year reign of terror on Sussex seaside town

A paraglider has waged a two year reign of terror on residents of a seaside town including '˜flying low over the seafront' to scare people.Â

Police in Sussex are hunting for the '˜abusive and hostile' man after receiving multiple reports of anti-social behaviour in recent years. 

The paraglider is said to use Galley Hill in Bexhill-on-Sea as a launch site and then terrorises residents and visitors to the seaside town.

A spokesperson Sussex Police said: '˜Over the past two years Sussex Police has received reports of the para-glider causing criminal damage, obstructing the highway, being abusive and hostile towards members of the public and generally behaving in an anti-social manner.

'˜It has also been alleged he intimidates people by flying low over the seafront.'  

Sergeant Simon Barden, of the Hastings and Rother police prevention team, said: '˜We'd like to hear from anyone who has seen or experienced aggressive or disturbing approaches from this man.'

The Independent reports that drivers who park on Galley Hill are the prime targets for the para-gliders '˜abusive' behaviour.

And that victims have been put off from returning to the area due to the man's antics. 

One person is reported to have called him '˜evil' on Facebook.
