POLICE hope recovering this distinctive football medal will lead them to a burglar.

The Notts Football Association medal, pictured right, was one of two taken from a home in Seagrove Road, Stamshaw, Portsmouth. Both had CJ Caborn engraved on the back.

The thief also took a sat nav, two cameras, a games console, TV, a ladies’ yellow gold diamond ring and two large suitcases.

PC Kathryn Smithers said: ‘I’m appealing for anyone who’s able to give information as to the whereabouts of the distinctive medals. I’m releasing a photo of one of the medals in the hope someone’s seen it or recognises it; perhaps it’s been offered to you for sale.’

The raid was on Wednesday, April 6. Police have only just released the details.

PC Smithers added: ‘Two large suitcases were also stolen and it’s likely they were used to carry out the other items from the address. Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the Seagrove Road area at this time?’ Call police on 101.
