A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed of £13 in a ‘cowardly attack’.

The youngster was walking to the Vue cinema at Gunwharf Quays with his friend, a 13-year-old boy, when he was approached.

An older boy threatened to attack him if he did not hand over money.

The terrified victim gave him £13 and the robber fled. The robbery took place outside Burger King in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, between 4.45pm and 5.15pm on Friday.

The suspect was with a group of other youths who had been hanging around by the Subway shop nearby.

A police spokesman said: ‘Detectives believe that somebody would have seen the suspect and the group of youths.

‘We would also appeal to the other youths who were with the suspect to identify him. This was a cowardly attack on a young boy who was out to enjoy himself. Instead he had his day ruined by this crime.’

The suspect is white, aged about 17 and slim with blond hair. He wore a white hooded top.
