AN ELDERLY man was left £3,000 out of pocket after paying for work that has still not been carried out.

The 77-year-old was doorknocked at his home in Cardinal’s Drive, Bognor, on July 2 by a man offering to sell solar panels. The man agreed and wrote a cheque. The suspect is white, 6ft tall, slim build, aged 30 to 40, with dark hair.
