A MAN indecently exposed himself to two teenage girls in Portsmouth.

Two 14-year-old girls were walking along on New Road East, Copnor, when they saw a man walking towards them on the same side of the road.

As he got closer – at the corner of Byron Road – he started whistling at them and indecently exposed himself. The girls screamed and ran off. They saw the man run off down New Road East and along Tennyson Road.

The incident took place at about 8.30pm on Thursday, January 19, but the details have only just been released.

The man police want to speak to is white, in his mid 40s, about 5ft 5in, of medium build with short dark straight hair, and has slight dark facial hair. He wore a thick padded-style plain black jacket and dark blue jeans.

PC Daniel Mathias said: ‘I would like to speak to any witnesses to this incident. Did anyone remember seeing a man matching this description in the area that night?

‘I would also like to speak to anyone else who may have been victim of this sort of crime before and has not yet reported it to the police.’
