TWO men robbed a fried chicken shop after an argument broke out over the cost of their order.

Police say the robbery happened at Ken’s Fried Chicken in Commercial Road, Landport between 1am and 1.15am on July 24.

The argument led to one of the men punching a staff member in the face and then jumping onto the counter, where he grabbed a cash tray containing between £60 and £100 from the till.

The men then ran up the road, turned right into Surrey Street and made off across the Debenhams car park.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or recognises the men from CCTV footage to come forward.

The man who assaulted the victim and grabbed the money is described as 5ft 8in, fairly muscular and in his late 20s, with short black hair and a tattoo of a large celtic cross on his back.

He was wearing long blue shorts and a necklace with a cross attached.

The other man was about 6ft, of medium build and dark hair with a partial bald patch.

He had a celtic band tattoo on his upper arm.
