THREE men who raided a betting shop are being hunted by police.

The men, who were all aged about 20 and 25 and wore sporty clothes and trainers, forced their way into Ladbrokes in Chichester Road, Bognor Regis.

They threatened staff before running off with a large quantity of cash.

The value has not been disclosed by police.

Staff were shaken but unhurt following the robbery at around 10pm on Friday.

Detective Sergeant Alan Pack, from West Sussex CID, said: ‘These three – one tall and skinny, one short and stocky and one slim and athletic – make a distinctive group and I am confident they will stand out to those who know them, particularly if they are seen using an unusually large amount of cash.

‘If anyone saw them in the Chichester Road area or has information that could assist our inquiry, please contact us.’

The first man was white, 5ft 6in, of a slim, athletic build, and was wearing a purple hooded top, dark blue trousers and white trainers.

The second man was about 5ft 4in, stocky, and was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood pulled tightly around his face and a scarf over his face.

The third wore a grey, zip-up hooded top with hammer-shaped cross motifs and a dark scarf over his face. He was more than 6ft tall and skinny.
