Students left concerned after 20-year-old man suffers ‘serious injuries’

POLICE are looking for help to track down a burglar.

A man went into a house in Albatross Walk in the Peel Common area of Gosport and stole a handbag.

It was black with plaited handles, which had a gold-coloured chain.

Inside the bag was a brown leather purse.

The burglary happened at 10.40pm on April 25.

Police have now released a description of a suspect in a bid to find the thief.

The suspect was white, in his late teens to mid-20s and of a medium build.

He was about 5ft 11in.

He wore a light grey hooded top and dark trousers.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Police would like to remind residents to be vigilant, remembering to secure doors and windows, and not leave any valuables where they can be seen by people walking past your home.’
