POLICE in Fareham have issued a picture taken from CCTV footage of a couple they would like to speak to in connection with a charity box theft.

The theft of the Muscular Dystrophy charity box, containing around £70, happened at Soccer City in Standard Way, Fareham, at around 3.20pm on Saturday, May 18.

The CCTV image was released today.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘A man removes a set of car keys belonging to a member of staff from behind the counter and opens their car outside but shuts and locks the vehicle when he sees nothing of value inside.

‘A woman he appears to be with buys drinks from the bar, and when a staff member’s back is turned she takes a charity box from the counter and places it in her bag.’
