THE police’s IT manager has defended himself after being accused of bribery.

Brian Chant, 57, of Andover, was arrested by City of London Police.

As reported in The News last month, none of the allegations relate to his work at Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police.

Mr Chant has denied any wrongdoing over the allegations. A temporary head of IT has been appointed.
