THREE separate arson attacks in Havant are being linked by police.

The incidents all took place in the Swanmore Road area of Warren Park on Tuesday night.

Firefighters from Havant fire station were first called to a flat fire in Stratfield Gardens.

Then a fire was reported at a bin shed in Swanmore Road – the blaze was put out by residents.

A pile of rubbish was then set alight next to a house in Well Meadow.

All three fires happened between 10.30pm and midnight.

Detective Constable Jonathan Butler, of Waterlooville CID, said: ‘These incidents are being investigated jointly by police and the Arson Task Force.

‘Thankfully nobody was injured – fires can be dangerous and unpredictable so don’t put yourself at risk by starting fires.’

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Butler on 101. Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
