Police name driver who died in five-car collision on A3(M)

Police have named the motorist who died in a five-car collision on the A3(M) on Sunday night.

Terence Martin, 56, of Farlington Road in Portsmouth, was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash at Waterlooville at 8.20pm.

The collision involved Mr Martin’s Vauxhall Zafira, a Peugeot, a Renault Scenic, a Skoda Fabia and a Volkswagen Golf.

Mr Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.

Police had previously appealed for the driver of a car who drove past the scene a short time after the incident to contact them.

The driver has now spoken to police and is helping the investigation team with their enquiries.
