TWO serving Hampshire Constabulary officers have been bailed after being arrested in dawn raids on Thursday.

The officers, both female and aged 28 and 29, were arrested as part of an anti-corruption investigation.

The 28-year-old officer was also questioned on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

They have been bailed until November 27.

A 32-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, were also arrested in the operation, and have all been released on bail until Friday, January 11.

Everyone arrested was questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

All six are from the Southampton area and were arrested as warrants were executed simultaneously across the city at 6am on Thursday.

The arrests were carried out in an operation led by the county’s anti-corruption unit, following allegations that confidential police information had been leaked.

The investigation is being supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission
