Police on hunt for men who stole bike and assaulted group in Portsmouth

POLICE have released CCTV images and e-fits of two men they want to speak to about an assault.

A man was standing outside a takeaway in Fratton Road on October 10 at about 12.15am when another man stole his bike and started to ride off.

The victim and two of his friends chased the thief, but then found themselves being attacked by him and four other men who appeared.

The three victims, all aged in their 20s, suffered cuts and bruises and a broken nose.

The group involved in the assault had come from the direction of Fratton train station. The attackers all wore dark clothing. The main attacker was white, in his 30s, 6ft and slim with brown hair. He had a very long, thin face and wore a dark Parka-style coat. The bike was recovered.
