POLICE are putting on patrols in a bid to crack down on illegal raves.

Officers from Drayton and Farlington Safer Neighbourhoods Team will patrol the car park at Farlington Marshes in Farlington tonight where a party was held last weekend.

And the team of eight was due to keep an eye on things at the site last night.

As previously reported in The News, a 19-year-old collapsed at the car park following a rave in a nearby tunnel running underneath the A27 last weekend.

Sergeant Guy Farmer of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: ‘We’ve had appeals to send out resources. We don’t want to see a repeat of what has happened there recently.’
