Investigations are ongoing after a man ran along Queens Road, Buckland, just before 8am on Sunday and scratched cars on the road as he shouted in a foreign language.

He then ran into Copnor Road and headed north.

Officers left letters on damaged vehicles, asking the owners to contact police.

Local Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant, Iain Clancy said: ‘The local Neighbourhood Policing Team is leading the investigation, which has included house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area.

‘There is nothing that has come to light so far as part of the investigation to suggest this area has been deliberately targeted, however additional visible patrols have been arranged in Queens Road and surrounding area.’
