CANNABIS plants and stolen vehicles worth nearly £90,000 were seized by police who raided a house in Selsey.

Officers entered the address, in Grant Close, on Sunday morning and recovered 32 cannabis plants that were being cultivated in the loft.

Further premises were subsequently identified that led to the recovery of another 110 cannabis plants, worth more than £70,000.

Officers also recovered two stolen vehicles.

Inspector Will Rolls, from Chichester neighbourhood policing team, said: ‘This is a significant recovery of cannabis plants in the Chichester district to a very high value.’

A 57-year-old man from Chichester and a 33-year-old man from Selsey were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and were bailed until May 28.
