THIS man is wanted by police after a shop staff member was racially abused.

A man had gone into Shearer News, in Shearer Road, Buckland, Portsmouth, and was refused service due to his behaviour.

He was then aggressive and racially abused a male member of staff, Hampshire police said yesterday.

The force is appealing for witnesses and has released this CCTV image.

It happened between 7.45pm and 8pm on Wednesday, February 4.

A police spokesman said: ‘Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image, or has any information is asked to contact PC Ben Treend at Fratton police station on 101.

‘Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’
