THESE images show the five dogs involved in an attack on reindeer at a farm in Swanmore.
Police are renewing their appeal to trace the owners of the dogs that were seized at the farm on December 4.
As previously reported in The News the attack at Emma’s Farm left reindeer Comet dead as well as a rabbit. Another reindeer Candy was injured.
A dark green Jeep Cherokee was seen to drive onto the farm on Brickyard Road at the time of the incident.
The vehicle made off from officers and was then left at scene, the occupants making off on foot.
The dogs were left loose on the farm.
Police Sergeant Deborah Holman from the Countrywatch Team said: ‘Poaching is a major problem, not just in Hampshire, but across other parts of the country too.
‘The people that commit these kind of crimes are often linked to organised crime.
‘We are urging anyone who recognises these dogs or knows who the owners might be to get in contact with us by calling 101 and quoting 44150422868.’
She added that the police would like to thank the public so far for the response following the first appeal that highlighted poaching as a nation wide issue.
