POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a teenager who was last seen in the company of Sean Thomas Bailey, a man suspected of murder.

Danni Lorraine Hartshorn, 16, was last seen with him early on Thursday morning.

Mr Bailey, 28, of Waterlooville, is a suspect for the murder of a man, aged in his 20s, who was found with stab injuries in Dove Close at about 5.30am on Thursday.

The victim was taken to hospital.

He was later pronounced dead.

Police say there is no reason to think that Danni is in any danger - but say that it is not like her to go missing.

Detective Inspector Guy Robyns of the Hampshire Major Investigation Team said: ‘Officers are concerned for the welfare of Danni because of her age.

‘It’s out-of-character for her to be missing and not to be in contact with her family.

‘We’re appealing directly to Danni to contact her family or police so all of us can be sure you are safe and well.

‘It’s believed Danni is still in Hampshire so I’m also asking members of the public to inform police urgently if they see Danni or have any information about where she or Sean Bailey could be.’

Danni or anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Operation Malvern team at Fratton police station by phoning 101.
