A WALLET was stolen from a home in Portchester.

The break-in took place on Thursday, August 8 between 2pm and 5.30pm in Alum Way.

It is believed the thief may have got in through a side door.

A black leather and plastic Marvel wallet were stolen from the kitchen worktop and contained driving licences and bank cards.

A man was seen in the area at the time driving a small light-coloured vehicle.

PC Samantha Gee said: ‘It’s really important to check the security of unoccupied rooms in your home. Make sure windows and doors are left secure.

‘Where you in the area during these times? Did you see a similar vehicle or any suspicious people? Do you have any knowledge about this stolen property?

‘If so please make contact with Priority Crime Team at Fareham Police Station.’

Anyone with information should contact PC Gee at Fareham police station on 101, alternatively call Crimestoppers, the charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
