POLICE have seized cannabis that was found growing near a sewage plant in Havant.

An investigation has been launched after officers received a report that cannabis plants were growing on land at Budds Farm in Havant.

The plant, off Southmoor Lane, processes sewage for the Portsmouth area and is run by Southern Water.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘I can confirm that police are investigating this incident after receiving a report yesterday (July 10) that cannabis plants had been found growing at Budds Farm in Havant.

‘The area where the plants were located is disused and overgrown. Anyone with information can contact Havant Police on 101.’
