A POLICE dog will on patrol in Buckland over the next few weeks.

Officers will search people if the dog discovers the scent of drugs on them as they walk past. Hampshire police have called it a ‘passive’ approach.

An operation was carried out last Tuesday where drugs were found and seized. Officers issued a cannabis warning.

And on October 31 police found items that had been sharpened to use as weapons, with nails attached.

PC Steph Lansley said: ‘The intention is to disrupt the use and supply of controlled drugs in the area.’

Call police on 101.
