OFFICERS at Hampshire Police were given shirts with the word ‘police’ written upside down.

Three tops with the mistake on the left sleeve were delivered to the force.

Chairman of the Hampshire Police Federation, John Apter, posted a photo online after he noticed the error at a Hampshire Constabulary training course in Hamble and initially thought the T-shirt was inside out.

Some officers have chosen to wear the shirts when not out on patrol regardless of the mistake.
