Police sting leads to three arrests for theft from vehicles in car park

THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing from a car following a police sting.

The theft took place from a car in Duncton Hill car park, near Chichester, on January 20. The arrests were part of Operation Castle, a police initiative which targets criminals in West Sussex.

This operation follows reports of thefts in the area and car owners are advised to secure their cars and not leave valuables on display.

The three men, all from Petworth, and aged 18, 20 and 21 have been released on police bail.
