A MAN who was spotted using his mobile phone while driving turned out to be a disqualified driver with no insurance.

Mandas Milvidas was stopped by the police as he drove a Nissan Almera in Campbell Road, Portsmouth.

A check of his licence revealed the 26-year-old had been banned from driving for a previous motoring offence.

Milvidas, of Ranelagh Road, North End, admitted driving while disqualified, without insurance and while using a mobile phone at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was ordered to do 100 hours of community service in the next 12 months and banned from driving for another year.
