POLICE have decided to take no further action following allegations of a sexual assault in a Southsea park.
The middle of the park off Malvern Road and Clarendon Road was sealed off this morning while forensic officers scoured the scene for evidence.
The footpath around the edge was still open for passers-by.
But following an investigation and interviews with the female victim, Hampshire police have concluded no criminal offence had taken place.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Following an investigation and interviews with the victim, no criminal offences have been identified.’
