HAMPSHIRE police will march in uniform at the Brighton & Hove Pride parade for the fifth year today.

Around 10 Hampshire Constabulary officers and police community support officers will be joining this year’s parade which promotes equality and diversity for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

The parade is the biggest of its kind in the south and attracts thousands of people each year.

‘With everything going on in the country at the moment, this is an opportunity for all communities to come together,’ said PC Darryl Clarke who has organised the force’s involvement in the event. This year, the force will be supporting campaigns Kick It Out and the Justin Campaign.
