POLICE are linking three house burglaries which netted the thieves £2,000 in stolen goods.

The first break-in took place in Victory Avenue, Horndean.

Intruders kicked open a door and stole computer and gaming equipment and jewellery.

The second was in Bacon Lane, Hayling Island, when burglars stole a laptop.

The third happened in Staunton Avenue, Hayling Island, when burglars again kicked open a door and took electrical equipment and jewellery.

All three burglaries took place either in the morning or afternoon of last Tuesday.

Police say they want information about three men who were seen acting suspiciously in Southwood Road, Hayling Island, that day. The men are described as white and aged from their late teens to early 20s.

PC Lucia Davies, from the Waterlooville Priority Crime Team, said: ‘These incidents have caused a great deal of upset to the home owners who have lost a large amount of property.

‘We believe they may be linked due to their proximity, the time frame of the break-ins and the fact that all three homes had doors kicked in by the intruders.’
