PC Kate Hollis said: ‘Please be aware that there are increased reports of break-ins to motor vehicles along both of these roads.

‘Reports appear to have the same motive of the rear wind screen being smashed and valuables being taken.

‘Please ensure that you remove any valuables from the vehicle and leave your vehicle secure.’

Those who are victims of crime should call police on 101.
