PEOPLE are being warned of a scam that has been reported to police.

In Gosport, officers are letting people know of the fraud which involves winning money from the lottery.

Letters are being sent to addresses stating that the homeowner is a winner of the lottery. This is headed ‘Euromillions people’s international postcode lottery.’

It is on poor quality paper and requests that recipients call a telephone number to pass on bank details.

Police are advising people not to give out bank details or any other personal information.
