The 19-year-old man was walking in an alleyway opposite Domino’s Pizza in West Street when he was approached by two men who asked if the pizzas were for them.

He was then punched in the face and the pizzas were taken from him before the men ran off towards Queen’s Road.

The attackers are described as white, between 16 and 19, and about 5ft 10in.

One was about 11 or 12 stone, with short brown hair, dark clothing and white trainers. The other had short brown hair with dark clothing.

The stolen items, which were contained within a red Domino’s branded heat-proof bag, included two pizzas, garlic bread and a large bottle of Coca-Cola.

The victim suffered a bleeding nose and was shaken but otherwise uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Turton said: ‘We’re really keen to hear from anyone who might have information about the attack or who may have seen suspicious activity in the vicinity of Domino’s or Queen’s Road.’
