TROUBLE that flared in a pub prior to Portsmouth’s home FA Cup clash against Aldershot is being probed by police.

Officers are looking into a public order incident in the John Jacques pub in Fratton Road, Fratton, between 11.30am and 11.40am on November 9.

Police are also looking into reports of assaults on the same day at the Shepherds Crook pub and the Cue Ball Club in Goldsmith Avenue.

Insp James Stewart said: ‘We take any violent behaviour very seriously and it will be dealt with robustly. We can issue a football banning order to anyone involved in violence who may have been attending the match at Fratton Park.’
