A MAN has been fined for possessing illegal drugs.

Mark Loader, 38, of Jubilee Road, Portchester, admitted having 291 milligrammes of the class A drug heroin and a small amount of the class B drug cannabis on him in Fareham.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge by Fareham magistrates. He was also told to pay £40 in court costs.

The drugs will be destroyed.
