A SERIAL shoplifter has been jailed for a string of thefts.

Steven Hoile, 30, of Foxbury Grove, Portchester, admitted committing five thefts between October 7 and 21.

Hoile stole a bottle of bourbon and five packs of bacon in two thefts from a Portsmouth Co-op.

He fled a Rowland Pharmacy in Fareham with £14 of goods.

Hoile also stole nine jars of coffee, a milkshake and five bottles of mouthwash in two separate thefts from a Co-op in Fareham.

He was jailed for 42 days by Portsmouth magistrates.
