The 16-year-old was arrested after an incident in Yorkwood Close, Liss, on Sunday, July 29, and has been released under investigation.

During the incident in East Hampshire, a 16-year-old boy suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: '˜We are investigating an assault in Yorkwood Close, Liss, which happened around 4pm on Sunday 29 July.

'˜A 16-year-old boy sustained stab wounds and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

'˜A 16-year-old boy from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was released from custody but remains under investigation.
