STEALING cider has landed a man with a £75 bill.

Aaron Cornell, 27, of Berkshire Close, Landport, admitted taking a two-litre bottle worth £2.09 from Lidl in Goldsmith Avenue.

He was ordered to pay a £30 fine, a £15 victim surcharge and £30 costs by Portsmouth magistrates.
