POLICE have cordoned off a betting shop following a robbery.
Officers attended a Ladbrokes in Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth, after reports of staff being threatened to hand over money.
A cordon was put up around the shop at around 8.30am and was later taken down at 11.30am.
Crowds gathered to watch police dog units enter the shop, and local reports suggested staff had been locked in a back room.
Police insisted no one was tied up during the robbery and would not say if those responsible were armed.
Anyone with information or who was in Arundel Street at around 8.30am this morning is asked to contact Fratton CID by phoning 101.
