A DRINK-DRIVER who was twice the limit has been banned from driving for 18 months.

Wayne Lewis was stopped by the police as he drove in King Richard I Road, Landport, Portsmouth.

A breathalyser test revealed he had 71 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Lewis, of Copnor Road, Copnor, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The 26-year-old was fined £250 and told to pay £100 in court costs.
