Portsmouth drink-driver jailed for injuring person in crash

A DRINK-DRIVER has been jailed for injuring another person in a crash.

Jolene Grant, 43, of Rosebery Avenue, Cosham, denied drink-driving but was convicted at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.

A test showed she was more than double the limit when she was caught in her Ford Focus.

The breath test revealed she had 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.

She admitted dangerous driving, driving without insurance or a licence and failing to stop in High Street, Cosham, on September 23.

Grant was jailed for 16 weeks and banned from driving for 47 months and 25 days.

She must pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Grant caused an injury, evaded police at the scene and has a record of offending.
