DRINK-DRIVER Gordon Ash was caught behind the wheel while more than four times the legal alcohol limit.

The 57-year-old, from Crown Street, Landport, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Church Road, Landport, after drinking too much.

A test revealed his blood contained 251 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 80mg. Portsmouth magistrates banned Ash from driving for 23 months. He was also fined £100, and told to pay £85 in court costs and £15 into a fund for victims of crime.
